My name is Christine Creasy, I have had a history of cancer in my family starting with the death of both my parents in their mid forty’s when I was 21 years old.
This sad loss resulted in me having to bring up a family of six children on my own.
16 years later I lost my sister Angie at the tender age of 34 to breast cancer. Can you imagine the devastation that I experienced in 2003, when I found a lump in my own breast and was later diagnosed with cancer?
With the help of friends, wonderful healthcare and family I took a positive approach to beating the disease. Now, three years on after having a radical mastectomy, chemotherapy, herceptin for two years, my other breast removed, full reconstruction, ovaries removed (I’m practically now a man as I have no female parts remaining), I live a happy normal life with breasts that will never go south with the rest of me !!
